Sexual Harassment Complaint Against Scores

Below is the sexual harassment and race discrimination complaint filed by plaintiff Elizabeth Shiflett against Scores Holding Company last Friday.

She sues under Title VII and the New York State and City Human Rights Laws. This is one of the relatively few cases in which the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) found reasonable cause to believe that the defendant engaged in discrimination.  Its determination is exhibit “A” to the complaint.

Plaintiff alleges that while working as a cocktail waitress for Scores at its western Manhattan location, she was subjected to “insidious harassment based upon her sex” (including being asked out on dates, being physically touched, and propositioned for oral sex) and racial comments (such as “the Chinese eat shit”), and then fired for opposing discriminatory conduct.
