Transit veteran William Mack of Long Island is suing a footwear manufacturer for the dough, claiming a jutting staple in one of their shoes forced him to amputate a toe.
Mack, in his 50s, claims in a Brooklyn federal court lawsuit that he put on a Rocky-brand Lehigh Safety Shoe in July and was stabbed in the foot by an exposed staple.
